Dual diabetes drugs help stave off Alzheimer's (Reuters)

Reuters - Diabetics who take insulin plus a diabetes pill have a lower risk of developing Alzheimer's disease than diabetics who take insulin alone, U.S. researchers said on Monday.

There are many reasons why as many as half of the population will at some time develop Hemroids (alternative spelling Hemorrhoids). The most common causes are actually very simple - excess or undue pressure being applied in the lower body. This most often happens due to constipation and excess straining during bowel movements, although the human upright posture probably contributes in part to the problem. If straining occurs when constipated we put too much pressure on our body, in particular the walls of the rectum and anus. This can cause the veins to swell or become clotted and even bleed. In addition other factors which can contribute to Hemroids include diarrhea, general aging, excessive use of enemas and laxatives, obesity, and pregnancy. Many pregnant women suffer from Hemroids due to the excess weight and pressure exerted on the lower body.

Although perhaps 50% of us will suffer from Hemroids at some time, not everyone will suffer the severest symptoms. Most people who experience Hemroid symptoms will see blood on toilet paper or in the toilet bowl, but will not feel any discomfort from this. However if this "internal" Hemroid develops and protrudes outside the body, an "external" hemroid, it may become painful. This occurs because the Hemroid may become swollen and irritated and a blood clot may form.

There are a number of common methods for preventing Hemroids forming in the first place, commonly consisting of taking care of your body and controlling your diet. It is particularly important to try and eat lots of fiber to prevent constipation, foods such as fruits, whole grain products and vegetables. You should also try to drink at least six glasses of water per day which reduces the need for straining.

If you develop Hemroids there are a number of methods to reduce the symptoms and even cure the condition. It is important firstly to adopt the same high fiber diet as mentioned previously, and in addition it may be beneficial to reduce your intake of refined foods, sugar, alcohol, coffee and dairy products. How to completely treat hemroids depends on how serious the condition is. It may be that in very serious cases surgery may be the only solution, but in most mild cases a combination of home treatments and changes in diet and behavior can produce results.

Hemroids can be successfully tackled using Hemorid medication, which will ease the discomfort and pain, and combined with diet will allow the body to heal naturally. There are all manner of anesthetic and analgesic creams & ointments to relieve the pain and itching while your body heals. The latest products which are now available can provide effective relief using anti-inflammatory formulas, and include herbal extracts which work to relieve the pain and discomfort by improving the circulation through the veins.
